A lip thing

Been lazy to update my blog with actual posts.

I've been a little experimental with make up
and colours.

Played around with my lip colours,
experimented with eyeshadows
and these are the few looks I came up with.
=)

All that glitters.
A mixture of gold and bronze eyeshadow.
Bronze in the middle and gold on the outer rim.

Down the spectrum
Mixture of purple and blue for the top lip
Dark red, pink and beige on the bottom.

Basic gradient

As the name suggests,
it's just red on the inner part
and slightly pulling the colour out,
creating a gradient look.

This is probably my favourite.
Purple poison

I used my purple in2it eyeshadow.

The top.

With black in the middle,
dark purple,
light purple,
pink and beige.
Started with the light colours,
and then work inward,
with black as the last colour.

The eyeshadow makes your lips look
really dried.
So it's just for fun.

I've always been insecure about my lips and teeth.
The teeth are not really crooked,
but they're not straight either.

I have thin lips,
so when I smile a teethy smile,
My upper lip will disappear which looks very weird.

You can rarely find pictures in which I have wide teeth baring smiles.

That's what J_Fish has to say~ Au Revoir~

p.s. The colours look darker and nicer in real life,
somehow the camera just can't capture it.

Cat eyes and red (Makeup)

(Almost) All my pictures are severely edited.
If you see me in real life,
you might not recognize me.

If you have a lot of time to spare,
you can play spot the difference in my pictures. =D

Good entertainment eh?

Firstly,
the look.

Sephora Pret-a-porter pink palette.

I don't have a lot of make up skills,
so the method of eyeshadow application is the same.

First,
No. 1 on the entire eyelid where you want colour.

Second
No. 2 at the back half of the eyelid.

Third,
add in No.3 at the end of your eye.
You might not be able to see well,
but No.3 is actually a maroon-ish colour.

Slap on a thick liner line.
How long you should extend it depends on the length of your eyes.
I have short eyes so I usually make my line loooooooooooooooong.

For the lower liner,
connect the point your eye ends with the top line,
and draw the bottom liner until the middle of your lower lashline.

And then add on false lashes
and everything is done. =D

I used top lashes only.
Bottom lashes were left alone.

When you're done with the make up,
change into a cute dress
and camwhore all the way!!!

New dress from Zalora.com.my.

Been having problems with them about return item,
finally solved after around 1 month.

The Sephora pret-a-porter set is not bad.
You get 6 palettes which consists-
4 shadow,
2 lip colour
and 1 blusher in each palette.

The pink palette.

That's what J_Fish has to say~ Au Revoir~
p.s. I wanted to camwhore with my new dress
so I wrote this post.

If you find it useless.
Thanks for reading all the way till the end anyway.

Snow White and the Huntsman

I wanted to do a video rant about it.

Then I remembered that I'm camera shy.

So now you have to read it.

If you're afraid of spoilers, you must be kidding me.

Come on, how do you spoil a children's story
which you've probably heard at least 50 times (no exaggeration)
The only difference in this movie is that Snow White in this film
is not the singing smiling cheerful sweet princess
but a frowning tough girl instead.

That part you probably know already if you've watched the trailer.

So what is there to spoil?
The only spoiler I could tell you is that there is no significant twist.

There. Spoiled the movie for you didn't I.
I'm a badass.

I'm going to really spoil it a little.

Ok, it's slightly different from the fairytale Disney version,

My mind kept drifting away during the movie
because it had a few similarities with a few movies The Lord of The Rings.
There was a scene where they were travelling in a greenish mountain scene
and there were NINE.

*thum thum thum*
And the song played by one of the characters was so similar to one of the songs in LOTR too.

Someone said I watched too much LOTR but B**** please,
I can't be the only one who connected them.

Other minor details that I have to point out
is that the young Snow White doesn't have black hair.
It was brown. Not even very dark brown.

I guess being malnourished makes your hair pigments darker.

Another thing I can't get over is
the fact that Snow White has quite good stamina
judging by the amount of years she has been kept in the (small?) cell.

And half of the dwarfs should be named Grumpy in this movie.

If you're a fan of Kristen Steward, Charlize Theron or Chris Hemsworth,
go watch it.

IF you're expecting something good,

MEH.

Charlize Theron is really hot and evilly disturbing here though.
The evil  queen has an incest-ish relationship with her brother btw.

That's what J_Fish has to say~ Au Revoir~
p.s. Still don't see how Kristen Steward could be prettier than Charlize Theron...
Unless the magic mirror (who is a man clasp in golden shiny cloth)
misunderstood the word and took "fairer" for it's pun meaning.

Get it?
Snow WHITE.

Light purple shadows

Suddenly decided to do a few tutorial posts.
I'll start with this one.

From top:
In 2 it Waterproof eye colour collection in EWF08 Royal Jewels
Revlon Grow Luscious Plumping Mascara in Black
Bottom left: L'Oreal Super Liner 24H Waterproof Gel Eyeliner
Bottom right: Rimmel London Hide the Blemish Concealer

Start with concealer

Draw the upper liner with black + bottom with white to open up the eyes

Extend the upper liner to elongate your eyes.
If you have long eyes already, just stop where your natural line ends.
Add a thin line of black liner at the bottom of the eyes,
just towards the middle of the eyes.

Make sure it's slightly lower your original line.
Paint on the eyeshadow.

Start from the lightest covering the whole eyelid, (in this case, the pink)
the darker colours should be applied outward according to the contrast.
Clearer picture of the eyeshadow application.
As you can see, the lightest colour is in the inner corners,
the darker one is at the end.

Put on mascara.
 And we're done. =D

I personally like thick mascara.

It's very simple and looks quite natural.
You don't need any technique to get this look.

Barely visible purple from a distance.

Slightly visible if you're nearer to someone.

The products that I use are all from Watson's.
Can't afford expensive ones. T^T

That's what J_Fish has to show~ Au Revoir~

Flaunt my sexy curves

What do you expect? Me flaunting my real body curves?
I would if I have it.

The Sexy Curves Full Figure Mascara.

The claim:
To give 7 times plumper and 70% curlier lashes.

Despite the name,
the mascara did not help add any curves to me.
My lashes I mean.

But it does make the lashes look thicker.
Here are the pictures

From left to right,
one, two and three coats of mascara.
For the lower lashes

I guess in order to have sexy curves,
you have to have the length first.

My lashes aren't really curly,
even after curling them with an eyelash curler.

It started as quite wet and takes a few moments to dry off.
After a few uses, it dries up easier.

Not recommended when going for chick-flicks, touching movies, the beach, or any water related stuff.

It's sold at RM29.90 in Watsons.

That's what J_Fish has to say~ Au Revoir~
p.s. If you have questions about the mascara, drop it in the comment.
