Party crash!!

So I did something quite badass last Friday night.
*cue song*

Fortunately I didn't go skinny dipping in the dark
and had menage a trois (more commonly known as a threesome).

But I party crashed.

It's true that when you reach your late twenties, you start not giving a shit.

I'm smacked right in the middle of twenties, but reading what people say what they do and how they react when they're in their late twenties, I can (sadly) say that I've lived my early twenties like I've always been 29.
Click here and you'll understand what I mean.
I can totally relate to 80% of them.

So here's how the story goes.
This dude a.k.a my beloved bitch a.k.a Jason Ryan Salvatore a.k.a. Jason Ryan Cheah a.k.a Jason
sent me a text and told me that "MAB is in Summit this year"
My first reaction was "Summit doesn't have a place for MAB".

Partners in crime.

For those who don't know what MAB here means (most probably 99.9% of you),
MAB is Majlis Anugerah Bestari.
Bestari is the residential college I stayed in for all 3 years of my uni life,
and I miss it a hell lot.
It's basically, to the non-muslims at least, a no dance prom night.

Everyone dresses up, even the usual slobs would put on at least a decent shirt.

Jason said someone paid and couldn't go (because she went home for elections on Friday)
so I took her place.

Went home and changed and added slapped more make up on my face
and off I went.
It was in Summit Hotel.
When Jason told me "Summit" I kept thinking about Summit Mall. LOL.
Totally forgot about the existance of the hotel until he told me it's on the 5th floor.
And I still kept thinking where in the heck is there a place for a dinner event in 5th floor of Summit Mall.

Since it's quite an official dinner,
of course there's the whole shebang.
Speeches, launch gimmicks, performances, and FOOD.
Theme was black, white and red.

Since I have no outfit that has all 3 coluors, I decided to go as a Zebra, as Shii Teck puts it.

Pictures could be deceiving. This one definitely is.

I got to sit with my juniors/ friends for the dinner too. =D

Since it was a dinner, all we did was eat and talk, but we were super hyped when they started performing.
The 4th CC Diabolo Team!!

They were great!! A little misses here and there, but overall, it was really cool.
YOU GUYS ROCK!!

The menu

And the food

Picture curtesy to Jin Jin.

BTW,
Dress from H&M
Shoes from Charles & Keith

I don't know what kind of face that is, Jason.

And my sexy lady, Tania a.k.a Cocoro

The only junior that I know after I graduated and took a pic with.
Clutch from Cotton On.

Most of the people I knew sit at the table with me...
That's what happens when you've graduated almost 2 years ago,
and hasn't gone back a lot.

Ok maybe I chose the wrong party to crash because it was quite boring,
but it was impromptu, which is what I like.
=D

Thanks Jason for "inviting" me. XD

Making a splash

Literally.

Despite staying less than 5km away from Sunway Lagoon for almost 2 years now, I haven't been in the water park before.

I've been there once when I was here for the "after PMR everyone goes to KL trip", but we weren't told we were going to Sunway Lagoon by our "trip advisors", so we didn't bring extra anything. =/ Bummer.
We ended up just walking around in Sunway Pyramid.

So not only am I going to Sunway Lagoon, I'm going to try the new ride!! No matter what.
I'm just going to pretend that you're wondering what the new ride is and answer your queries.

If you've been to Sunway Lagoon recently,
you've probably seen it. It takes up 3,360-meters (three times of the size of a Olympic standard swimming pool) of the water park with a launch tower that is 30m high, and ends with a gigantic funnel.

Introducing

*drum roll followed by vuvuzela blows*

The Vuvuzela.

*symbal*

The launch tower is so high up you get to take the elevator up! Woohoooooooo.
No stairs!!
That's good news to someone who hasn't exercised for a long time.
(Unless shopping counts.)

Sunway Lagoon is launching The Vuvuzela for their 20th anniversary
and it's definitely something to blow their horns for.
Heck I'm blowing it for them.
No sexual puns intended.

After the Skytrex adventure with Nuffnang in the beginning of the year,
I think it's time I put my hair down, flip my work table, and go on another exhilarating  trip with Nuffnang.

Why?
Because if the founders of Nuffnang were lazy to come up with a name for the company when they started, they could have called it "The Fun Company" and they would definitely live up to that name.

One day with Stickman and his crew and you'll get what I mean. =)

And I'm pretty stressed out with my current work load.

And I haven't had contact with much fresh air often recently.

With this as (one of) my view,
I'd probably keep my poker face or laugh like crazy (because that's how I show fear. Weird, I know.) But when I finally plunge into the water down below, it'd probably be really cool.

And we'd be seated in a raft, which means you'll be facing all directions
when the raft goes down the slide,
twirling and screaming.
*round and around and around we go*

Another (few) adrenaline rush coming right up!

Oh how much fresh air I'm going to take in after I silently scream my head off.

And who else to have fun with my blogger gang?
Can't wait for the weekend to come!!
Can't get to get wet. =p

So here's a reaction video to what would happen if I went on The Vuvuzela. Sort of.

The "I want to be younger" weekend

It's a beautiful night, i'm looking for something dumb to do, hey baybeh, let's update your blog at 2.30am so that you'll wake up late for work. Weeeeeee.

Damn you, caffeine!!

But then as the title says, I really wish that I would wake up on my dorm bed, and everything that happened within these 2 years was just a long, long very accurate forecast of what would happen.

So, past me, on 26 April 2013, you would spend you late afternoon and night with this girl.

Her name is Jennifer.

You would go to Bangsar Shopping Village and have heave high tea at Ben's, and you will order this awesome tasting, mouth orgasm giving pizza called 'il carnivore' and you wouldn't know if the 'e' at the end should be pronounced.

You would chill and walk around and realize the event you're going to is not in BSV but in Bangsar Shopping Center.
(Y U NO BE MORE CREATIVE WITH NAMES??!!)

You would proceed to curse at all slow drivers to get off the road because you're late.

When you enter the mall, you'll see a really cute caucasian blond guy smile at you and indicate that he's leaving and you can take his parking spot.

I know you're shrieking silently, past self. I know you. *smirk*

After that, you'll get to the event on time with Jennifer and enjoy the different wines of Chandon
in a place beautifully decorated with roses.
Classy.

We had Glenn Thompson (person in charge of all sparkling wine production at Domain Chandon) to explain the taste and details of the wine.

The finger food really highlights the different tastes,
especially the fruity flavours such as raspberries and cherries.

You'll love Pinot Noir the most. =)

You'll have Jennifer with you to make the event nicer. Better love her more.

On 27 April, you'll go to this event in Ibiza which is aka The Mines Wellness Resort.

Oh the sunset.

The DJ spin table was quite cool. Too bad it rained after dinner and when the party was just about to get down. For current me, at least. So enjoy earlier. =X

On 28 April, you would go back to CC for CC dinner. It would be quite awkward for you so better reconsider that. Because you're 4 years the senior of some of them and they'll look at your like an alien. Or maybe because you look pretty I don't know.

But then you get to see people you haven't seen in a long time, so it's not too bad.

Mia bella.

There would also be a train going on when they start to have fun and drop the base. They, apparently, like to move it move it.
You'll be surrounded by people who are barely 21 and full of energy, and you'll wonder if you had so much fun when you were 21. And you look at yourself and the pang of being 25 hits you like a badly passed basketball, to your face.

The juniors will still come and take pictures with you, then you look at those pictures and say: I don't look 25, so I can probably trick some younger boys that you're your age. And you'll realize you've turned into somewhat a pedo.

Oh who would have clinched the title of being the EMO King for 4 years other than the bitch, Jason Ryan Cheah/ Salvatore. He'll be emo for these few years, even juniors know that he's emo.

Oh, and do buy these boots from Forever 21 because you'll be so in love with them you'll keep taking pictures of them over and over again and flood this app called Instagram with it.

And you'll also learn to curl your hair into loose curls with the pink and black VS curler.

Remember to live your uni life to the fullest because I'm living the working life and it sucks. You have very little time for anything other than sitting in the office and facing your computer, typing away. Have fun while you're young, and don't turn into present me, a grudge because I waved at my youth while it passed by.

Love yourself, pass me, because no guy will love you as much as you can love yourself.

Wrong group, right motivation

The group: Nuffnang Fashion Fabulous.
The reason it's the wrong group: I think it's pretty obvious.

I was invited to the Nuffnang Fashion Fabulous group gathering yesterday,
22 April 2013.

I was held in The Warehouse on Jalan Tun H S Lee.
I've never been there before but thanks to the help of Yat, I got there without getting lost.
*sigh of relief*
(Because I usually get lost whenever I drive to KL)

Anyway,
when I got there, there were 3 brands preparing their display,
which we would later rummage through in hopes of finding the perfect outfit.

Pestle and Mortar Clothing's display

The Warehouse is quite the artsy place.
They have a whole wall almost full of paintings.

Their "mini bar"

And being the artsy place,
even their toilet has graffiti

with message that escalated quickly.

A "mini cafe" at the back of the shop

And a stairway to somewhere I didn't explore yesterday.

Hi. I took pictures and spammed my instagram timeline
because I didn't know anyone at that time and was pretending to be busy.

Bought my necklace in the bazaar at The Curve.

And after waiting for those who came late to arrive *cough cough*
We finally started the event around 45 mins later.

Come on la. I drove from Subang to KL and managed to be early,
anyone who lives within that range should have a really good excuse.
(like getting lost. Highly acceptable excuse. Really. =X)

First, the representative from phatculture gave a brief introduction.

Next was Milktee's turn
I like their clothes the most.

And lastly Arnold (dj of Hitz.fm) gave an introduction to his brand, Pestle and Mortar.

After the introduction, Sue Anne told us about the challenge.
The challenge is to form a team of 2 and pull together an outfit from the clothes there.
Since the other girls seem to know each other and already formed a clique before I even talked,
I formed a team with Wendy, who, like me, looked like she didn't know any of the girls too.

(ok I don't know if that's true, but that was what her expression said. =X)

Anyway, off we go combing the racks of clothes,
and waiting to change into those outfits.
And while we're at that,
finger food was provided.

Personal favourite. :3 Probably because I like eggs.
And the toast was crispy.

I didn't like this at all. =/

I didn't try this. --____________--lll

Ok so this was my second attempt. My first attempt was pairing the top from Milktee with a faux leather skirt from Milktee. Like I said, I like their clothes. But that didn't turn out too good because... I have bad taste and pulling an outfit together at short notice is not a good idea for me.

The skirt in the pic above was actually what I wore to the event. I wore t-shirt and a skater skirt to a fashion fabulous event. See why I say I'm in the wrong group? --__________--lll

I decided to change into these ripped jeans from Milktee. I never had ripped jeans,
and these looked kinda cool, and you can't go wrong with black pants,
so yeah, that's basically how I dress up. The safe way.

My first "acceptable" outfit.
Top and ripped jeans from Milktee.
The top has a name, and it's a girl's name too. *cue Mulan's voice*

I forgot to have a waist.

After that I decided to try out other clothes,
and in the end settled with this cropped top.

Took a shot with JQ because we were both wearing tops from Pestle and Mortar.
I was looking at another camera I swear.
It's the unintentional "look away from camera" look.
=X

After that it was my self-proclaimed camwhore time.

Snapback and top from Pestle and Mortar.

I've never tried the snapback look before,
but I kinda like it now. =D

My cropped top is available and on sale here (as of the time of writing).
It only comes in 1 size (size 12).

Wendy's first outfit from Phatculture.
A very cute lace dress.
She was quite insecure because she's not exactly a size S
(which is what online "free size" basically mean)
but she managed to find something in the end. =)

Wendy's second outfit.
Top from Milktee skirt from Phatculture.

Our team shot. =D

Ok the pictures are quite grainy coz it was taken at the stairs which is too dark for my phone's cam.
Tsk tsk.

I prefer the close up shot but it didn't really showcase the clothes.
Well my outfit anyway.

If you think that our outfit deserves an obamaface,
help us win products from Melvita bright range by commenting here. Do mention that you love our outfit. *points at no.3.*... or not.

Although the other girls rocked, they're so fair liao they dun need brightening products la. =X Our team is the tanned girls group. *cough cough*

I ended up with the t-shirt and jeans because I suck at coordinating and it's quite hard to go wrong with a white t-shirt and black jeans. LOL. Sadness.
I should be banned from this group. --____________--lll

Anyway,
I guess being in this group is a good motivation for me to buck up
and really look into fashion.
Doesn't seem like I learned a lot from all those ViVi mags I have piled up. tsk.

Bangkok, I will comb you inside out and rob you of fashionable clothes!! Just wait!!

That's what J_Fish has to say~ Au Revoir~
p.s. Vote for me. Please.
