You are society

The dark make up look
Hair extensions curtesy of my new best friend. =)

*Warning*
It's a wake up call post,
a.k.a philosophical post,
so if you hate these stuff,
buzz off.

Everytime I hang out with my sister
I get something to write about.

You are society.
When you think or say:
"The society thinks that...."
or
"The society doesn't think that...",
please be reminded of this post,
and these words.

You are part of society.

If you think that you should or should not do something
because of how our society perceives it,
you're wrong.

We were talking about clubbing while having lunch.
I said I met a friend who's a clubbing king,
and my sister's reaction was:
no good.

(The general) Society (of Malaysia) thinks that clubbing is negative
because of religious issues, or moral standards.
Because they perceive that people who go to clubs
are morally unhealthy.
They drink,
they have "fun" in every kind of way.

BUT THEN,
there are people who go to clubs

just to relax and have fun.

Now those of you who doubt relaxing in clubs are possible,
you should understand that there are people who prefer loud music,
like how you like sitting at home and doing nothing,
or shopping till you drop.

(I'm not a clubbing kinda person, so I'm not rooting for them coz of that)

You cannot and should not judge a person by what they like.

[Because I hate it when people thinks that people who care about their outlooks are stupid or shallow]
{just because you're too lazy to do something to make yourself more attractive doesn't make you smart, it just makes you lazy.}

They live their lives as they like it.
Unless what they do will bring negative effects to other people,
like smoking for instance,
then you should say something about it.
Because it influences your health too.

Back to clubbing.

You are society.
If everyone or the majority or society
changes their mind and thinks that clubbing is not a big problem,
will people who go to clubs still be perceived as "bad people"?

If you change how you think,
the society changes,
it might take a long time to change how everyone thinks,
but eventually,
it'll get through.

You are society,
don't let society tell you what to do,
you should be telling the society what to do,
because,
YOU ARE SOCIETY.

Sometimes people think that positive thinking is naive,
but no, not all who think positive are naive.
Some of us choose to think positive
because there's no reason to be negative.

It could be that the negative part is the truth,
but there can be miracles,
when you believe.

We know both sides of the story,
we just chose to believe that things will get better in time

that's what J_Fish has to say~ Au Revoir~
p.s.

I found the reason of me staying single.

Other than being too picky

I hate the feeling of losing someone to rely on.
If I have a BF,
I would rely on him a lot,
no matter how independent I am or try to be.

If we break up,
I'll be alone and rely-less.
So I'd rather live without the chance of relying on anyone,
because I can't cope with the emptiness that losing someone brings.

But then it's also possible that I haven't met the person who I would willingly break this rule for, yet.

Are you out there?

Reasons to stay

 After the emo post,
I figured that I should do a post to remind me why I stick with my current job.

Here goes.

Reason 6: I get to drink free Chatime. =D
I got free Chatime for 3 days in a row!!

First cup of Chatime I've ever drank.
Came after lunch right after I made a cup of coffee.
I felt like throwing up after finishing both of them.

Second cup of Chatime in my life.
Third cup of Chatime was today. Mango flavoured.

I still need to camwhore,
even if it's with a cup and straw.

Chatime opened a new outlet near my office,
and everyone seems to have Chatime fever coz they have Buy 1 get 1 free promotion.
This reason is not really valid
coz after the promotion ends,
I'd probably not get free Chatime anymore.
Oh well.

Reason 5: I get to FB and MSN.
Which makes people green with envy.
Coz FB and MSN just makes working a lot nicer.

At least if I'm bored,
I can always find someone to kacau.

Reason 4: It has something to do with what I studied in Uni.
Nuff said.

Reason 3: I don't need to wear office wear to work.

Which means I can doll up whenever I want
or just throw on a t-shirt and jeans whenever I feel lazy.

Reason 2: I have a very nice bunch of colleagues

Look, they brought me to drink beer.
Tsk tsk tsk .... Bad influence.
=X

And the last and most important reason-

REASON 1:
Time passes so slowly when I'm in the office
that if I don't leave the office,
I can stay young for a very very long time!!!

YAY!!

FMWL.

That's what J_Fish has to say~ Au Revoir~
p.s. The Ray October issue is coming out real soon and guess who's in it!!

I hope they edited the pictures coz the last time I saw them I look like a 30 year old lady.

A time to be patient and persevere

There's a time for everything,
and now is the time for me to believe that everything will turn out better
and I will make it through this effing storm.

I'm not doing well right now.
I've never been good at planning,
and it's getting right back at me.

I feel like such a loser
coz I'm a working adult
and I can't even afford my basic needs.
It sucks when you want to live your dream,
but reality wins anyway.

I have to either change my lifestyle,
or find a new job that can offer more.

For me,
the latter is easier.
Especially when I just started not long ago.
It's not too late to turn away.

It's hard to persevere
when you have a friend who keeps brainwashing you
about other higher paying jobs out there.

And you feel like you're so stupid for persevering
because you know what he said is the truth,
and you're being stupid for staying.
There are plenty of better paying jobs out there,
why am I here?

Because I wanna do something that is related to languages.

But in the end of the day,
I need money to survive,
to have a good life.

Not just enough money to survive through the month
and rely on credit cards and loved ones when something happens
and I need money.

I shall persevere and be patient.
Until the deadline comes.
In about a month's time from now,
I shall make my decision.

that's what J_Fish has to say~ Au Revoir~
p.s.  I really miss Uni life,
but no matter what I do,
I can't go back.
Not yet.

Do you like the header?

2 little things about Google search

The highest searched topic when you type in "How to" in Google Search, as on 15 Septembe 2011.
You can also check out number 5.
If you understand Bahasa Malaysia,
you'd find this either weird or amusing.

For me,
it's both.

That's what J_Fish has to say~ Au Revoir~
p.s. It's Thursday!!!

I'm glad coz Friday is a holiday!!

Please memorize your parents' number

As always, vain pic first.
I look young. =D
Oh wait...

I struggled with the post title.
I didn't know if I should use
"your phone is not a necessity",
"learn to live without your phone",
"lost of phone is lame excuse for not calling parents",
or "get a life (without your phone)".

I want to write this post,
because of another blog post my friend wrote.

First of all,
it's be very much related to orientation week in 4th college, UM.
Coz I have to use that to bring out my point.

If you're not interested,
you know where to click.

My friend quoted a few letters sent to the newspaper and which were published.
The main concerns of parents nowadays are
"why don't my kids call me/ why can't I call my kids during orientation week".

The main problem
is that people nowadays can't live without their mobiles.

I remembered my orientation week,
and I survived WITHOUT my phone.
because I don't have friends.
WTF is the problem?!

The last time I checked,
your mobile phone hasn't been add to "necessities".
You won't die without it.

We have public phones around the college,
your kids can call you when they have the chance.
The facilitators are always willing to lend their phones if the queue is too long.
Phones being confiscated is NOT a good reason for not calling home.

If you really need the love and support from your family,
by all means,
CALL.

I can't stand it when parents are overprotective.
FFS,
your kids are old enough to take care of themselves,
if they can't,
they ought to learn.
The youngest I assume should be 19 to enter uni.
If one can't handle leaving home at this age,
one should stay at home and be mommy's baby FOR ETERNITY.

GET A LIFE without your phone PEOPLE!!!

If you're wondering why they don't have their phones,
well,
we kept them for safety's sake.
Who knows who might creep into their rooms and steal their everything.
Their phones would be lost FOREVER!!!
Isn't that worse?

Ya right.

The main reason we kept their phones is that we're sure that they won't be listening to whatever we're trying to tell them.
Am I right or am I right?

Anyway,
I think the main reason the so-called kids
didn't call home because they don't/can't remember their parents' number.
Nuff said.

So,
if you're one of those people who can't live without your phone,
at least do as the title says.

that's what J_Fish wants to say~ Au Revoir~
p.s. Y U NO answer my question for the previous post??

I feel so forever alone.... post questions and the 1 and only comment was by me.
This is seriously Me myself and I.
