Are you afraid of heights?

The weekend before the recent long weekend,
I tested out how energizer battery I was.

There was the Swedish House Mafia's One Last Tour on Friday,
Skytrex on Saturday noon till evening,

Writing this post is proof that I'm qualified to be an Energizer Bunny.
Woohooooo.

The late comers gang. *cough* Except for the Nuffies who had to wait for us.
We all had problems with GPS. =X

But then... We get to go to the course area on a pick-up.
Illegal immigration style.

After getting to the spot where the first batch were happily chatting and eating away already,
we had sandwiches that were provided F.O.C. Weeeeeeeeeeee.
*cheapskate mode ON*

And after the stuffing and burping, we were in for the real deal.

Introduction to the challenges and Skytrex rules and regulations.
You need gloves, which are sold for RM3 per pair.
You can also rent bottle holders from them, and lockers are provided for RM1 with a RM5 deposit.

But all of those were provided F.O.C to us again. *rubs hands*

The safety harnesses, just hanging around. *badum tsss*

The people there helped us strap them on, and we're more ready than before. Yeah baby!!

See that sign? Bring it on!!

That's just the trial part.
We were briefed on the names of the parts,
when and how to use them,
and what to do,
and what not to do.

And one memorably funny thing the instructor say was:
"Only one person is allowed on each obstacle. Don't say "Best friends forever" and go after your friend"

And we're off!!

First challenge after the trial climb up the small ladder,
and flying foxing to the platform in this pic above.
 22m from the floor.
That's about 14.5 mes high.

When I first climbed up the ladder, I was like "meh"
but when I almost reached the top,
my hands start to become tired,
and my legs got a little jittery,
and if you look down...

Just don't.

And since we had to wait for people to finish the obstacles before us,
and only 3 people are allowed on each platform,
we had loads of time to chat...
and camwhore.

Perks of going with the guy with the cam.
Ladies, are you not entertained?!

(By the way, the girl is single. *Wink wink* The guy however, is taken. Too bad girls =P)

And I got to know a new friend. Yay.

In fear that I might drop my phone 20m down while trying to take pictures,
I left them in the lockers,
which explains the lack of me-actually-being-a-badass-pictures.

Oh wait.

Hi Iris.

The entire challenge takes a lot of upper body strength, e.g. arm and chest muscles.
Got me thinking that I should hit the gym.
But well it's 2 weeks after that and I still haven't even see the doors of gym.

We walked on hanging horizontal pipes,
horizontal rope bridges,
tight ropes like the one Iris was demonstrating,
flying fox (which I kept calling firefox.)
and walking on nets.
And there was also
"The Tarzan"
which you know,
you swing from plank to plank like Tarzan.
Oooooooooooioooiooooooooooooooo

Iris, Tony and I were among the 4 first to finish the Extreme Challenge.
so camwhore again. =D

We waited at the eating place, while eating, for everyone to come back to base.

And in the end we were all certified badasses. Ok. Maybe not that badass,
but well, I'm extreme babeh!!

So, this is my question,
are you afraid of heights?

Definitely?
Well, I'm a badass.

Not sure?
Well maybe go to Skytrex in Shah Alam to test how badass you are?

Not at all?
Well good for you. Now try Skytrex's Extreme Challenge.

It's not that tough you see. Since you're surely safe with the harness,
but still,
the fear is actually not of heights, but of falling.
I had to admit that despite knowing I have my safety harness on,
there are times when I feel like I want to be home, on my bed,
in stead of just hanging around there. Literally.

Rave rave rave

I have no idea how I took this pic but it turned out awesome!!

So in case you didn't know (it's all over the radio and social media),
We Love Asia Music Festival was held on the 19 & 20 January in Sepang International Circuit.
I got passes for both days.

This is what happens when you use your front camera at a dark place. Noob.
The taller girl is Jennifer by the way.

Doors opened at 5pm
and the party started before the sky was even dark.
pic from WLA fb page.

The first night was just ok. It was nice because Jennifer was there to go crazy with me. XD
We stayed in the normal zone for quite some time,
but once we went into the drinking zone, the whole mood changed.

Taio Cruz's part was nice, though he did look like he wasn't putting the least effort into singing.
I guess his part was nice because, well there was lyrics to go crazy to,
as opposed to well just raving.

Imagine shouting "I've got a hangover wooooooooooooooooooooooooooo"
rather than just shaking your booty to the beat.

The amount of beautiful people there is too damn high!!
And
the amount of boobs almost falling out of bikinis and tank tops is too damn high too!!

 The second day gang.

The highlight of these 2 days for me would be when Redfoo of LMFAO came out.
Well I heard Steve Aoki was awesome too,
but I didn't stay till that late because,
well it was Sunday night.

Oh when he pulled his pants down and started to wiggle. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!! *Crazy girl possessed scream*
Forgive me for not taking pictures. I was too busy fanning myself.
(and probably discreetly wiping off the drool)

Oh, and he kept saying "Yeah baby".
Which makes people wanna repeat after him. XD
YEAH BABY!!!!
(like how Austin Power says it)

YEAH BABY!!!

I didn't squeeze all the way to the front la.
I believe I'm slightly too old to be that enthusiastic.
And I was quite tired after 3 days of rave and even half a day at Skytrex.

So... For the first time ever,
I went to a rave party and got more tickets.

As of now, I have 15 tickets left to be kept as souvenir.
And to fan myself when I think of Redfoo and the LMFAO party rock crew wiggling.

Can I exchange all these for 2 Future Music Festival Asia tickets? =X

That's what J_Fish has to say~
p.s. Thanks to Yat for being my driver for both days. X)
(he requested that I thank him. =X)

Stop bashing skinnies!!!

If you didn't notice,
the trend on "beauty" has changed very drastically especially when it comes to the size of women. From the olden days when "meaty" means good, to the 50s' when curvaceous is loved, to the 90s' when thick skinny is beautiful, and to around 2000 and after, skinny skinny is the new preference  The perspective of size has moved from boobs to boobs. Coz well, no matter how skinny or fat you are, ppl still care more about your boobs.

The newest trend, has changed from "bash the fat people"
to "bash the skinny people".

Here are just a few examples of "Shit people say to skinny people":
1. Eat more please, you're too skinny.
2. You're so skinny it's unhealthy.
3. (From Charmaine) "Puke less". (They assume she was bulimic)
4. Skinny is ugly. Curves are hot.

If I were to say "eat less please, you're too fat", I'd be condemned by society, called the rude skinny bitch, and stoned to death with words of resentment. Double standard.
The 9gag community agrees. Found this on the hot page yesterday. Coincidence?

I actually can eat a lot (but most of the time I choose not to because it's bad for digestion). If you assume that I starve myself just because I'm skinny, maybe you should keep your opinions to yourself until it's proven correct, because this time, it's wrong.

I don't understand why people assume that skinny people are unhealthy. Why can't I be skinny and healthy? I don't choose the skinny life, the high metabolism rate chose me. So the next time I hear someone say "eat more, you're too skinny" or anything along the line to me, I'm going to be really really nasty.

Oh, and by the way, skinny people do grow a little fat here and there and now and then and have all the right to feel that we've grown fatter like the "normal size" and "fat" people out there. Whenever I say "I've grown fatter" I always get the same answer:"You're not fat." Well thanks, I know that already. I didn't say I'm fat. I just say I grew fatter. You know, I'm MORE fat compared to before this. Doesn't mean I think I'm fat now. I'm not trying to get your sympathy or praises.

FYI, if I can control the degree of curves I get on my body, I would choose to be curvaceous too. But sadly, my creator did not give me this ability to adjust the size of my boobs and ass, so if you say skinny is ugly and curve is better, please teach me how to grow more boobs and ass without increasing my waist measurement. Oh and by the way, fat doesn't mean curvaceous. They could just have double the measurement I have.

I don't mind if we're close and you say that to me, but coming from people who I don't know or don't know well, it's offensive. You don't go around telling people their clothes are ugly, or their make up sucks. So why do you tell people they're too skinny and assume they starve therefore suggest they eat more?

Well to you skinny-hating people out there, this is me probably at my skinniest. You know, just to get on your nerves more.

That's what J_Fish has to say~ Au Revoir~
p.s. Fat people generally have more health problems than skinny people. Please tell them that.

Not ready for the quarter

Happy new year!! Still first month so it's not too late yet. 2013 is here, and I'm not ready for it.

Moved into a new place for the new year. Just like last year. I didn't have internet at home till today.

So a summary of last year?

The event that helped me grow the most, is falling in love.
For the first time ever, I fell so deeply in love with someone. I didn't know it was that bad until I've finally walked out of it. I fell hard and fractured my heart, but hey, it healed, and I'm moving on. I learned a lot from that relationship. It was for the first time, in 24 years, I loved someone that much. I did things that I don't usually do. But now, I feel a little wiser. I know what I should and shouldn't do.

最后,我们都错过,
爱过,不一定会有结果;
最后,走不到最后,
爱你,却又必须放手。

lyrics from 最后-梁静茹

I went to a lot of events and parties in 2012. It's like 2012 was the year of compensation for my past 23 years of non-party-going.

Second H-Artistry of 2012, the party I enjoyed the most. =X

I've never gotten the chance of partying before this. My friends weren't party people in high school, and in uni, it was worse(?). My friends were the studious type. I have no idea how I always end up with that type coz I'm always the laziest among my friends.

Went to a lot of events, workshops and even a concert with Nuffnang. The amount of money I saved from attending movie premiers is too damn high!!

I got to know a lot of bloggers through the events, and most of them are really really nice people who are anything but boring. They're crazy. I like that.

I did a lot of experiments on my hair throughout the year too.
Curl, straighten, square fringe, side fringe, center parting, extensions, short hair, bleach, dye, chances are, you name it, I've done it. And in that one year. Other than dying, all of those are my first times too.

It was also the year of make up experiments.
It was crazy. It was fun. It got me a lot of visits to this blog. =X I effing love make up!!!!

So many other things happened during 2012, and one of them is the 10 years anniversary of my longest-lasting-still-in-good-terms-friendship.

I got dead drunk for the first time ever too. I-don't-wanna-drink-ever-again-drunk. Just once.

I had a splendid year. It was a roller coaster. I love roller coasters. All these events and people I meet turn and mold me into a different person. Not all the friends that I knew last year stuck around though. It was because of a mixture of ego and just different opinions. Well those who think I'm good enough will stay by my side. Nuff said.

Now, this year, I have to face a very different life. I have a big plan ahead, and I'm still contemplating if I should take the leap. Just 10 days into 2013, and I'm a little jittery already. This year, I turn 25. I'm not ready yet. Should I decide to take the leap, 2013 will be nothing like 2012.

That's what J_Fish has to say~ Au Revoir~
p.s. Help...?

Darn you addictions!!

So,
it has come to this.

You know how when you have to study,
you find everything interesting,
and start to google about them?

The same happens when you have work. =D
I'm DOOMED!!!

Well taking a break from simultaneously packing my stuff and working,
I'm taking a break to write a blog post.
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Other than taking time off to blog,
I've been taking a whole lot of time off.... to play games on my phone.
DOOMED I TELL YOU!!!

Anyway,
here are the games that I can just sit there and play for hours and hours,
if my phone's battery can survive.

Turtle fly.
It's a simple game. Simple, but not easy.

It's basically a game which requires a lot of patience and control.
The objective I'm trying to reach now
is to fly to the moon.
(Objective reached after I wrote that. =X)

And to do that,
you have to be able to control your turtle by tilting your phone left and right
to avoid the flying objects, e.g. planes, rockets, UFO etc.

Oh, and you have to keep an eye on the fuel too.
You can only hit those flying objects so many times,
unless you collect HP replenish.

I'm so addicted to this game I've succeeded to make my turtle drift.
Yes, drift, like in Initial D.

That's a badass turtle I have there.

Next,
the game is called Mega Jump.

This one is a no brainer.
It's very easy to play,
the objective is to unlock new levels,
and the only way to do that,
is to keep going up,
and to do that, you have collect floating gold coins.

Only coins (and a few helping power ups) can help you move upwards,
if you fail to reach a coin,
you'll fall to your death, and you have to start over again.

Easy peasy.

The next one is probably quite well known... 10 months ago.
Temple Run.
I didn't get to play it before this coz my phone can't support it.
But now I can. =D

Then last but not least,
Pocket Frogs.
I hate frogs, but these are just too darn cute.

It's quite a lame game actually,
you make your frogs jump around in the pond while trying to eat dragonflies,
and mate.

You collect different species and colours, and sell them so that you can buy more places for more frogs.

So it's just frogs enjoying themselves.
Food, jumping around freely, and mating.

All of the above are old games,
but I find them very.... time wasting. In a good way.
Well maybe not.

Still looking for nice games out there,
so please introduce some of them to me pwease. X)

And here's a pic of my odango. I bought the donut thingy that helps to make odangos.

Oh, and my nails are ready for 2013. =D

That's what J_Fish has to say~ Au Revoir~

p.s. Now to think of it, this post is actually proof of how outdated I am. =X
