April Galaxy

Got my first MIVVA beauty box, which is the April edition.

I'm always excited to receive all these beauty boxes. In modern day Forrest Gump's story would sound like:
My momma always said, life is like a beauty box, you'll never know what you'll get.

Got this beauty box 2 weeks ago and finally I have time to write a post about it.

I got the old packaging.

First thing that caught my attention is this bubble wrap.
It's a surprise in a surprise.
=D

If you've never tried hair chalk before, it's fairly easy to use it, but it instantly give you hay dry hair.
I tested it and it made my hair so dry I can't even comb it and I decided not to take pictures. =(
Pretty sure it's not the brand that matters,
it's just what hair chalk does.
And I have very dry hair to begin with.

Next, there's the "Off with those heads" by b.liv.
It's quite a popular brand and I've always wanted to try it,
but the price made me feel like I can live with blackheads.
So I was really glad I get to try this out.

B.liv Off With Those Heads
RM139 for 30ml | RM 179.90 for 45ml

There's O'Slee's Rosehip Beauty Solution.

I have yet to try this, but it claims to contain 7 enhanced skin care benefits. Can be used for toning, as make up base, sooting, deep mousturizing and even as body lotion.

O'Slee Rosehip Beauty Solution
RM59.90 for 100ml (we got full size)

We also got a notepad on the left,
Somang Keratin Silk Protein Hair Care in the center, and Timeless Trusth Charcoal Deep Whitening Mask.
At the bottom there's SF Beauty Skin Perfect Glow Sunscreen
and SF Beauty Skin Remover Cleansing Gel

Somang Keratin Silk Protein Hair Care
Shampoo RM49.90 for 620ml
Hair pack RM49.90 for 500ml | RM79.90 for 1000ml

I've tried one pack of the Somang Keratin Silk Protein Hair shanpoo
and it was a disappointment since it says it "restores damaged hair due to frequent dye and styling".
Of course I wouldn't expect my hair to be restored after 1 use,
but it didn't make my hair feel smoother.

Timeless Truth Charcoal Deep Whitening Mask
RM10 per piece
It prevents dark pigments, reduce freckles, moisturize, and makes your skin glow. "The bamboo charcoal powder has a proven function for cleansing and absorbing dirt."

SF Beauty Skin Perfect Glow Sunscreen
RM125 for 30ml for 6 amazing features. Can also be used as concealer or nude makeup.

SF Beauty Skin Remover Cleansing Gel
RM100 for 150ml
Apparently you can wash your face with this even if it's dry. It can remove make up, clean dirt from pores, and eliminates grease in 1 wash. (Can't wait to try out)

Finally we have
Beautymate Purifying and Brightening Nano Essence
RM69.90 for 30ml

We got the full size. It states that it can effectively brighten and hydrate skin and minimize melanin and spots. Basically it's good for whitening.

Talent runs in the family

Went home for the weekend for
and my youngest sister who's studying Broadcast Communications
asked me to be her model for her photography class.

She's quite talented with this.
Only got her camera last month.
Still needs some practice with those pesky dials,
but she'll get there very soon.

Enjoy her photography.
Well at least the pictures that I can edit to make myself look nice.

The next is my personal favourite.

Looks tall right? XD

Shoes from Vincci
Dress from Kitschen
Lipstick from Bobbie Brown, my current favourite

Photos taken at Straights Quay, Penang.

Don't mind being a model if my sister is behind the camera.
Of course we have more chemistry
and I can be as silly as I want
and she's used to it. (though she still rolls her eyes once in awhile)

And I get to edit the picture before anyone else other than us sees it.
( ^∇^)

p.s. If you're wondering, my talent is editing pictures. =D

Luck of the Irish?

Well for starters,
I won something from a lucky draw!!

It all began with this.

It was a pub crawl event on 16 March in conjunction with St Patrick's day.
We gathered at Souled Out KL
and was first given the passports to board the bus.

And in the passport, we're suppose to collect stamps for performing a few tasks.
In exchange for those stamps,
we get chances of winning either an iPad Mini, or 24 cans of Guinness.

After getting the goodie bags, passport and settling down,
we get to attack a buffet which served really good food.

And first cup of Guinness.

It rained cats and dogs from around 7pm to 8pm.
We were trapped under the tent but was entertained by
"The Cheapest Stand-up Comedian"- Kuan Jen Han.
No idea why that's his title, but that's what they announced him as.

He was very funny!!

A colourful parade before we hop on our ride!!

Group picture before boarding the bus.

So I changed into the T-Shirt they gave.
I have no idea why.

*I was here*
I think I was trying to "prove" that I'm petite.

Oh pretty dancer which I can't take a decent picture of.
She was dancing so happily
my phone just isn't fast enough for her nimble feet.

We walked around and drank (free) beer
(I drank 1 cup.)
Dropped out passports with stamps collected and went to get some food.

And from the stamps,
guess what?

I got to take picture with beautiful people. ( ̄ω ̄)ノ

And I won 24 cans of Guinness too!!
Guess who's happy about that?

Some other dude who also won 24 cans of Guinness.
Because 24 cans of Guinness would probably take me 3 years to finish,
so I gave mine to him.

And this was the crowd.
Pretty sure there are more,
still sitting in the pubs most probably.

This is probably more people than certain events organized by certain parties.
People have to pay for this summore. =X

We totally stopped traffic that night.
With the help of our cool police escorts of course.
Talk about V.I.P.

Our bus didn't stop,
not even for traffic lights. ( ̄ω ̄)
#likeaboss

It was a colourful and joyous events
because I finally won something from a lucky draw.

#MarchMoreFun indeed!!

When I wait too long

Have you ever waited so long for your food you have enough time to grow horns?

I try to sell clothes

So this is the first time I was paid (?) to be a model.

It was for a colleague who owns an online shop.
I got clothes from her instead of cash,
but well, close enough.

Here are the pictures which (I assume) she used.
Of course they're edited. A lot.

Simple black dress which comes with a cape looking thing/ sleeves.

Love this dress a lot!!!

Look at the details.

From my instagram.

When my hair was still purplish.

Hi-low dress which is actually quite short. And I'm short. Sho itzu very shorto.

So for the first time, I was actually not too upset about how I turned out.
The pictures weren't that hard to edit.

And somehow they managed to make me look slim and kinda tall.

I'm not good at posing so most of the poses were quite awkward.
It was raining the whole morning.
We got to Putrajaya at around 7am, and had to wait till around 10am to start shooting.
We wanted to wait for the rain to stop but it kept pouring for 3 hours.
When we started the shoot it was still drizzling, but it finally dried up soon.

It was quite interesting because I've been to Putrajaya for a few shoots and
this was the first time I wasn't in the park.
We went to the buildings and the guards said it was ok to shoot outside.

It was a different experience and I have way nicer looking pictures than before.
Don't think I want more shoot though.
I'm so awkward I feel like digging a hole and posing inside when facing the camera.
