What really happened yesterday

I have a lot of vain pics for this post.
If you're easily disgusted by vain people,
please proceed to the "X" at the top right corner of your browser.

I cut my fringe.

Before
 After

12 year old-ish?

Yesterday was like any other Saturday.
I woke up,
switched on my laptop,
checked mail.
My daily routine.

I saw this ad looking for female bloggers for an event that I thought was for today.
so I sent an email and right after that
I went out with sis.

ate Bak Kut Teh for lunch.

First time I ate the dried version.

When I came back,
I did spring cleaning for my room.
Today is the one month anniversary of me moving in.
*Yay*

Why do I need spring cleaning 1 month moving in?

Shame.

Half way through that I decided to check if I got a reply,
and I did.
But then

*ten ten ten...*
The even was for yesterday.
The ad said from 12.30 to 5.30pm
when I saw the reply it was alredy 1.30pm.

So I texted the person and told her I can't go
coz I just saw her reply.
But she insisted that I go.

So I threw on my only decent looking dress left in my closet
(coz today is supposed to be laundry day).
>____________<
Rush with my make up
and I was off.
It was super crazy fast.

Took the cab all the way to G-tower.
and the rest is in the previous post.

I arrived late,
so I missed the whole introduction.
When I got there I was given a cam
and asked to play around with it.

I knew I was going to blog about the event,
I just didn't know it was ON THE SPOT.
The organizer didn't ask me to bring my laptop,
so I was stuck there like an idiot
because I don't know how to use vaio.
FML.
I know it's the same,
but I don't have my photo editor,
so the short blog entry took uber long.
WTF.

After I finished posting my post,
I wondered around
and was asked to take pictures.
As the model,
not the photographer,
but honestly,
I suck at being either one.

A few pictures that I took.

 The sony alpha NEX-3.
For more information
please read previous post.

I have no idea why they decide to put 2 giant chilies in the middle of the hall.

After waiting for the other bloggers
(who took forever to finish)
they said they're going to announce the winners!!

WHAT?!
This is a competition?!

Seriously,
I didn't know.

There were only 5 of us
and the 2 of us who finished first
didn't get a prize.

I wonder why.

Maybe coz we didn't have our own laptops with us.
(yeah sure)

Went for dinner with sister.

And
when I got home,
I decided to cut my fringe.

Yes,
just like that.
and so I did.

Here are a few more pics
taken yesterday night and today.

 before the cut
 after the cut

Short wig.

That's what J_Fish has to say~ Au Revoir~

p.s. I swear if I had my lappy with me
and if I knew it was a competition,
I'd do a lot better.
XP

oooooooh
and another thing,

I have a new blog!!!
YAY!!

It's going to be a review blog.
only for the things that I use.
I'm not going to buy stuff that I don't use to do review.

Visit it,
bookmark it.
Might come in useful someday.

Night~

Photography Workshop-Sony

My first photo taken
with the Sony Alpha NEX-3.
It's 14.2 Megapixels
and the external flash is included.

The photoshooting workshop is organized by Sony
at G Tower
(Which is next to the Ampang Park LRT Station)

The first impression of the place?
Classy.

It reminds me of G-Hotel in Penang.
Smaller.
But just as classy.

Now,
the place in Panoramic view.

For a newbie like moi,
this camera is totally easy to use.
In other words,
not complicated.

I was mostly shooting in
"intelligent mode"

Which means,
"for  dummies newbies".

Everything is set,
so all you have to do is shoot.

Some of the photos are taken in macro mode.

Now,
the food.
Chocolate Tart

Roasted Pumpkin Veloute

Another pic of Hickory Smoked Chicken

Penne Pasta with Salmon.

It was a different experience.
I've never really handled a "real" camera before.
It was easier than I imagined,
and what I like most about this cam,
is that it's "blur proof".

I like the fact that we can tilt the screen upwards
 and downwards.

Not one of the pictures I took came out blur.

Out of focus,
yes,
coz I don't really know how to focus.
but blur,
no sirreeee

Suddenly my phone camera looks so sad....

that's what J_Fish wants to say~ Au Revoir~
p.s. This cam has officially gone into my wishlish

just so you know.
=p

WTF post

New specs.

You know the fakes ones that ppl I know would call Lala don't have lens?
Yup.
Those.

Just a few things I wanna say.

First,
I went shopping at Sunway Pyramid last Saturday.
If you saw a girl in a "tourist" T-shirt, alone,
that's probably me.

I went to Secret Recipe for dinner.
First of all,
the waiter/waitress didn't serve me right.
Didn't even bother to bring the menu even after I sat down.
Maybe they thought I was in there to smell the sweetness of their cakes.

But when another family came in
one of the waitresses followed them in like a puppy dog
WITH THE MENU IN HER HANDS!!

WTF man.
Just because I'm alone doesn't mean I'm not your customer ok.

Why I was pissed was first of all,
I came BEFORE the family,
and second of all,
no offence to my Muslim friends,
I'm just pointing out a fact.

It was 6pm.
Even if they ordered first,
it's not like they're going to eat YET.

After I ordered,
(I had to ask for the menu btw),
I started playing the games on my phone.

When my food came,
of course I started eating.
Since I was alone,
I kept looking around,
and you know what?

The whole shop was filled with who I assume are Muslims.
(because they were there before me and none of them have food on their tables).

Here's the thing,
they kept staring at me,
some gave me disgusted looks.

WTF (again) man.
This is a restaurant,
you know,
the place where people EAT.

I'm sorry you can't eat,
I know you're hungry,
but when you sit in a restaurant,
and you see people eating,
PLEASE don't give me those looks.

I was there to eat, so I ate.
I'm not guilty,
but their looks made me feel like I'm doing something wrong.
WTFFFFFFF. (third, fourth fifth, sixth, seventh, eight, ninth)
[Ok, just joking. that's counted as once.]
Even the crew of the restaurant looked at me satu macam....
--____________--lll

I hope ya'll are not finding this ironic
coz I talked about racism in my previous post
and now I'm complaining about others.

Just so you know,
I'm not talking about race.

Secondly,
I hate people who smoke, and drink.
(Drink until the point where you can't remember the last time you pissed).

Ok,
so drinkers are not so bad,
at least if they die they die.
Smokers kill you before they die.

If you're a smoker and you're offended,
here's what I posted on my status.
"Dear smokers, I don't mind if you want to kill yourself, but I would like to die because of something I did rather than what others do. Yes, you have all the right to smoke, but by smoking you are violating every other non-smoker's right to have fresh air. Please go and die in a corner and don't drag others along with you. Thank you for your co-operation.

There's this guy whom I recently known
is exactly like that. (smoker n drinker)
I have no idea what kinda girl in her right mind would fall for him.
Other than the fact that he smokes and drinks,
he also thinks that asking favors from someone who you just know is cute.

GET A FREAKING LIFE MAN.
You think girls like to be treated like maids?
He's totally one of those guys who thinks that girls are there to serve him.
WTF (fourth time) man.

For guys out there,
no decent girl would love a smoker/drinker.

I told him that he should stop,
you know the "it's bad for your health" talk,
then his answer is totally WTF (fifth time).

He ask me to find him a gf then he'll stop.

FREAKING GROW UP MAN.
You think I want to kill my friends by introducing a smoker to them?

He's not the only one who thinks asking me to be a maid for him is being nice.
Where do these people come from?!

Next,
I bought a few things from the Internet,
which further supports my theory of Internet stuff sucks.

It's not really about the material,
but more about the design.
You know how some clothes looks gorgeous in photo
but when you put it on you feel like dying?

That didn't really happen.
My dress was still acceptable.
But the pocket of the t-shirts are out of place.
They're almost in the middle.
WTF. (lost count wtf)
SEE!!
I bought couple t,
but i'm gonna wear both.
MUAHAHAHAHA.

One more thing,
I bought body shampoo
and when I was pouring it into the bottle,
I read the instructions.
Don't wtf me.

But the English version of the instructions really is WTF.

Erm.....
So we're suppose to practice making "creamy lather" on the cleansing puffs?
At least the BM version made sense.

So I'll just slap on a few unrelated pics,
and that's all folks.
 My new nail colour.

Two vain pics and......

that's what J_Fish has to say~ Au Revoir~
p.s.
Been getting hungry very soon after eating recently.
NOT DURING THE MONTH WHERE I DON"T HAVE FULL PAY!!!!!!!!!! WTFFFFFFFFF!!!

Sorry to the Muslims out there if I offended you.

Who's the racist?

[Edited 4/8/11, 3.46pm]

First,
unrelated vain pic.

I would like to give my 2 cents or 2000000000 cents (whichever is more convincing)
about the "racist" ad by a certain Malaysian TV channel about Ramadan.

If you've seen it,
you know what I'm talking about;
if you haven't,
I can't help you
coz the video has been wiped off the face of Youtube.
And I don't really remember them.
Them, because it was a series of ads.

So,
I assume that the ad was deemed racist by Chinese,
because "we" are offended by the chinese girl who "did all the wrong things".

First of all,
how many of you do think it's a racist ad?
If you do,
I think you're gonna rate this as "Dislike" at the bottom.

I wasn't offended.
Except the part where she changed into a baju kurung (or is it baju kedah) at the end of the vid.
I just thought that wasn't the best choice of clothing (to change into)
A simple t-shirt would suffice I guess.
I get it,
we're not supposed to reveal too much skin,
but I'd say they overdid it.
Like my colleague said:
so we have to get a baju kurung to buy things now?
It kinda sends out the wrong message,
get what I mean?

Going back to racism.

I just want to say,
if you're a racist,
you'll see the ad as a racist ad.
If you're not a racist but you find that the ad is a racist ad,
you're a racist.

NOW YOU KNOW.

Why do I say that?

Only a racist will see the "character" as a Chinese.
If you don't get what I mean,
ask someone to help you.

I mean,
I saw the girl as a Malaysian who offended the Muslims by the way she acted.
Not a Chinese girl who offended the Muslims by the way she acted.
If the girl who took that character happens to be a Chinese, then so be it.

Like my friend said (paraphrased):
Use Chinese will offend Chinese, use Indian will offend Indian, they are going to end up using a Caucasian in the end.

(Caucasians might be offended too. =P)

Here's a message to all of you out there who thought that the ad was racist:
If you want to be seen as equals, see equally.
If you want to be called Malaysian, call yourself a Malaysian instead of your race.

See past the "race" issue and understand what the ad tried to convey.

Change the way you see the world and the world will be a better place.

[Editing]
So I found a link to the ad I was talking about.
Here.
Open in new tab please.

that's what J_Fish has to say~ Au Revoir~
p.s. In case you want to share this, Don't.

It's not my best picture.
