i care too much?

the simple politics

i think after being in the CC board
(voluntarily)

i kinda have this feeling of defending
for the chinese community.

so here's the case.

we had our Minggu Keluarga Bestari.
A college activity held to help in the interaction
between seniors and juniors
(living in the same floor).

i was forced to join
since they came up with a new stupid rule.

i don't even wanna talk about the new rule.

anyway,
throughout the 5 nights i was there,
i realized that the chinese
(especially the GUYS)
are kinda disappointing.

they seriously go and sit,
don't participate even in cheers.
they act like they're better than everyone
and the activity is crap
(a fact which i don't deny
but still,
i don't act that way)

they sit behind when all guys should be in front.

they never think how would the others think about them.
i think they don't care.

the problem is,
when they do this,
the label or not cooperating
will be on "chinese"
and not on them.

and another thing i noticed,
chinese very rarely volunteer to join anything.
(in this event)

not only they don't volunteer,
they don't even do it when ppl ask
and push.
they just sit there
and pretend that they can't hear what the ppl are saying to them.

and because of this bunch of selfish bastards
other chinese have to suffer the consequences.

so last night,
the last night,
we were asked to say something about the whole event

i stood up
(i had to
coz they keep asking the chinese juniors to talk
and they still kept the gold in their mouth.)

i really don't wanna make things worse.

so i apologized for all chinese
and i said what i think.
i said that most chinese are not committed.
and the chinese girls are offended.

COME ON!!

if you are commintted,
why do you mind?
i said MOST
not ALL.

they think that they are committed because they went down and sat there.

FUCK UR STUPID CONCEPT.

just because you went and sit there doesn't make u COMMITTED.

it just means you went because of the attendance.

what i did was for the greater good.
i was merely trying to mend things.

i had to do something.

i'm not saying that i'm good,
i didn't say that i was committed.
i admitted that i went because of the new rule

but after i went back to my floor
i heard them talking loudly behind my back
in the toilet.

disappointed?

HELL YES.
and utterly PISSED OFF.

i don't think i should care anymore.
this is what i get for caring too much.

it is my final year here
and what happens to them is no longer my problem.

so FUCK YOU STUPID ARROGANT, IGNORANT, SELFISH JUNIORS (of coelodonta)!!!

i hope what you get whatever you deserve.

online shopping and real life shopping

i ordered 2 blouses from this website the day before yesterday.

paid yesterday

and got it today.

i was really glad that it came today,
coz i'm running out of clothes to wear.
and i have a date tomorrow. XP

so,
i got it from the office
(need to collect all pos laju or ekspress from the college office)
on my way out with chi yee.

opened the box in his car.

was very very excited,
but i didn't really opened the plastic bag.

we went to secret recipe in 1U
I ordered
chocolate banana
ice blended green tea
and chicken cordon bleu

he ordered
a brownie...

after finishing all that food,
we went shopping,
he followed me. =P

passed by a padini sale!!!

almost everything was RM9!!!

went inside,
went through a few bins
and felt that the small sized people are being punished.

why is it that it's always so hard
to find an S size during a sale?

can't they produce more S size and less L or XL....

gave up after a while
and went to cotton on.

i was looking for a singlet.
but nothing nice jumped off the page.

so,
sadly,
we left cotton on.

and went back to padini. XD

this time,
i was in luck.

i found singlets that are S size,
but only in black or white.
T--------------T

bought them anyway.
XD

and a blouse that is L size.
want to have the korean style look.

i show you what i mean.

i bought 3 pieces of clothing from Padini and Seed for RM27.

so these are the clothes that i bought online
the girl's really cute right?

this is more to sexy...(?)

but i'm super unsatisfied with the first one lo...

this is how it looks when i wear it.

i don't have a big mirror in my room
so had to take photos in the corridor,
in front of other ppl's room...
--_________--lll
here's how the collar looks like.

now look at the photo of the cute model again,

after some thought and analysis,
my room mate and i came to a conclusion

the model should approximately 145cm tall. WTF...
compare her collar with my collar.
and the lengh of her blouse with mine...

i'm only 157cm and there's already about 10cm diff....

her blouse looks so cute
mine juz look like a fucking pasar malam t-shirt.

and the other white blouse was nice,
except the part that there were stains here and there that couldn't be washed off.

DOUBLE WTF...

conclusion?

i'm done with online shopping.

real life shopping is so much more fun.
i get to choose,
try and pay and get the clothes on the spot,
without having to walk all the way to the bank,
and wait anxiously for the package to arrive.

i am,
after all a shopaholic.
^____________^

that's what J_Fish has to say~ Au Revoir~

p.s. i might not be a good model i think....

what not to do?

while attending an interview.

so,
i just went to an attending an interview workshop
organised by UM's counseling section.

it's quite useful.
the speaker is really bubbly
and i like her way of talking.
her hand smells nice too.

i'll tell you why i know it later.

no,
i didn't smell her hand.

so,
what not to do while attending an interview?

i only jotted down some notes..

this is my summary.

1.
Do not choose the phone interview
(which is becoming more and more popular [coz can save cost])

why?
because you'll be evaluated only by ur voice.
if you sound shaky,
they WILL know.

if you attend an interview,
the interviewers get to see and analyse more.
(if you think that's bad,
think again)

you could get more chances to prove them wrong.
(if your first impression is not good)

2.
Do not ONLY address or greet one gender.
when you go into the room
address both sir and ma'am
(only if there are both genders)

Address the interviewers appropriately.
use common sense la...
don't call a pregnant lady miss

3.
Do not extend ur hand to muslims of the other gender
UNLESS they do so first.
it might create and awkward situation
if the person doesn't feel comfortable in shaking your hand.

when shaking someone's hand,
a firm grip without hurting the person would be the best.
shake the hand twice.

4.
DO NOT go unprepared.

do some background check
of the company before going for the interview.
Don't let them have the chance to get u when you can prepare for it first.

5.
Don't speak too fast.

unless you're looking for a job as a sports commentator.

6.
When the typical request "tell me about urself" is said,
don't tell them a grandmother story.

talk about ur experiences in the field that u're about to venture into,
or any point that you can connect to the job.

as the speaker said,
"this is not a history lesson about you and your family"

7.
Do not wear anything new to an interview.

in case the things don't work how they should.
especially underwear. =P

Do not wear jeans or t-shirt to an interview.
(unless u're the interviewer).

even if the people working there said that they wear jeans to work.
they're already employees there.

you're not.

for guys,
don't wear a tie with short sleeved shirt.
always bring a tie
coz if others are wearing a tie
at least you're prepared.

girls,
don't wear colourful clothes.
keep the colours to two or less.
(i think white and black is safest)

for both genders
invest in a pair of black covered shoes
(court shoes?)
even if it will make you broke.

you'll get the money back.
(if you get the job of course)

8.
Do not sit unless told.

if the interviewer forgot to tell you to sit down after some time,
ask politely if you may.

do not cross your legs.

9.
DO NOT PANIC!!!

coz no matter how prepared you are,
if you start to panic,
everything goes out the window.

10.
DO NOT ASK THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS!!!
- What does your company do?
- Are you going to do a background check?
~ if they don't they will check yours. don't make urself suspicious.
- When will i be eligible for a raise?
~hellooooo... you're not hired yet, REMEMBER?!
- Do you have any other jobs available?
- How soon can i transfer to another position?
- Tell me about the bus line to the company.
~ Welll, not really a question here, but it could be.
- Do you have smoking breaks?
~ I don't think that would leave a good impression. A LOT OF people hate smokers.
    (including MOI)
- Is my medical conditions covered under your insurance?
- Do you do a drug test?
~ again, don't make urself suspicious.
- If you hire me, can i wait until {more than 3 weeks from the interview} to start working?

11.
DON'T smoke before the interview.
like i said,
a lot of ppl hate smokers.

and the smell usually gets stuck on ur clothes.

ppl WILL know.

12.
Don't be plastic.
meaning
FAKE.

don't overwork the "charm" factor.
HR would know.

so,
that's all that i can remember.
feel free to ask if you have any questions.

i'll try and ask the speaker. XP

good luck!!!

that's what J_Fish wants to say~ Au Revoir~

p.s. don't be too honest during an interview.
not saying that you should lie,
there are just stuff that you just keep to yourself.

next stop... modelling?

i was going through a part time job website
and came across a modelling job.

it's for those online boutiques.
so they don't really need height.
we just have to look... tall. XD

i don't really look tall
but i certainly don't look stubby.

so i contacted the person.
sent her a few photos of me.

she said that they'll go through all the photos of applicants
and then decide if i'll be hired.

totally ok with that.

the pay's good too....
i think.
XD

what's the normal rate anyway?

the girl said that we won't be taking saucy photos.
and i do hope so.
kinda hope they'd pick me.

PICK ME PICK ME PICK ME....
XD

i could use some extra money
(the reason i was looking for jobs in the first place)
dating is expensive. XP

that's what J_Fish wants to say~ Au Revoir~
p.s. water supply's back!!!

course problems.... still maintain as a problem.
an unsolvable problem.
